Self-Leadership for Freelancers — Be the leader you are seeking

“Pilgrim, there is no one road to follow.”

While working almost all of my professional life as a freelancer, I have been struggling for many years with not having a real leader, supervisor, coach, or guru.

By being a coach myself, I practice what I preach — I hire coaches and I invest in my growth by allowing others to show me their worlds. However, I don’t hire coaches to pave the path for me. I hire people to inspire me and expand my knowledge and consciousness. Still, for a long while, I was lacking something in that collaborations.

It felt uneasy and lonely, especially while listening to my friends who saw their leaders in people like Tony Robbins, Dalai Lama, Robert Kiyosaki, or Dr. Joe Dispenza. Although I admire those influencers, I don’t really feel they are leaders for me. Additionally, being unable to find someone to show me THE WAY was a reason why I didn’t step forward and lead myself.

It all changed when read about the idea of self-leadership. I quickly realised I can be the leader I wished to have.

I felt that I can forge my life, rather than constantly looking to follow.
